Alma 7:10-12

And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.

And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.

And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.

"H" For Happiness

Gospel Art Book Jesus Blesses the Nephite Children

Question:
What do you think makes our Savior happy?

Scripture: 3 Nephi 17:5-25 (Jesus heals and blesses Nephite children)
Emphasize verse 20 "And they arose from the earth, and he said unto them: Blessed are ye because of your faith. And now behold, my joy is full."

Song: (Adaptation from Donovan Leitch that we used to sing at girl's camp)
Happiness runs in a circular motion
Life is like a little boat upon the sea
Everybody is a part of everyone, anyways
You can be happy if you let yourself be.

Activity: Your boat is your couch. Dump a bunch of balloons on the ground and have fun! While you are playing, write things you are happy about on the balloons with marker.

Scripture: Mosiah 2:41 "And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it."
